Harmony Healthcare Compliance, Education & Privacy Officer, Lisa Knowles, Asked to Participate in Advisory Team to Formulate AHA Response to CMS FY2019 Proposed IPPS Rule

Appointment adds immense experience to AHA Coding Clinic’s team of advisors.

As a member of the advisory team, Lisa Knowles will bring a vast and unique set of experiences in hospital coding, unmatched leadership and guidance to help formulate the AHA’s comments on the MS-DRG portion of the FY 2019 proposed IPPS rule. Knowles immense experience in hospital coding and compliance and her industry influence will be a great value add to AHA’s advisory committee.

The rule proposes to revise the Medicare hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment Systems (IPPS) for operating and capital-related costs of acute care hospitals to implement changes arising from their continuing experiences with these systems for FY 2019.

A requested presenter on the national and state level, Knowles recently presented at the 2018 OHIMA Annual Meeting in Columbus, Ohio and was featured in April’s edition of Compliance Today, a national magazine published by the Health Care Compliance Association.
