The most comprehensive conference involving all stakeholders and the patient at the same time to improve the diagnosis, treatments and management of patients with COPD

East Rutherford, NJ (PRWEB) May 13, 2016

Speaking on the timely hot topic that has been igniting a firestorm of controversy throughout our nation and around the world, Nina Radcliff, M.D. will have a special presentation on: E-Cigarettes and Vaping (The Debate Under Fire) during the Pulmonary Horizons 3rd Annual COPD Conference at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Dr. Radcliff is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists where she serves on committees for Young Physicians and Communications.

Author of more than 200 textbook chapters, research articles, medical opinions and reviews, she is often called upon by national, regional and local media to provide medical expertise on breaking medical news and topics impacting lives, today. In addition, she is a regular medical contributor for newspapers and magazines nationwide with her medical health and wellness column: "Dr. Nina's What You Need to Know."

Dr. Radcliff is a Physician Legislator Ambassador for the state of New Jersey and frequently provides information and insights about issues related to healthcare, primary care shortages, compounding pharmacy safety and patient's rights. Said Vernon Pertelle, respiratory therapist, and executive director, Pulmonary Horizons: "Dr. Radcliff is a consummate patient advocate; we are very fortunate and blessed to have someone of her caliber and passion to increase the focus and awareness of COPD.”

The Food and Drug Administration issued a sweeping set of tobacco rules that would regulate electronic cigarettes, cigars and other products for the first time, despite resistance from industry groups that say the new rules would be costly and unnecessary.

The 499-page final rule would require regulatory reviews for electronic cigarettes, cigars, and other products that went on sale after Feb. 15, 2007, unless the manufacturers can prove to the FDA that they’re “substantially equivalent” to products already being sold or that there is some other reason they should be exempt. The rule also would ban the sale of e-cigarettes to anyone under age 18. Some states already have banned sales to minors, but others have not.

In addition to Dr. Radcliff’s Special Presentation, there will be Keynotes and panel presentations by healthcare industry experts, physicians, clinicians, executives and administrators, which include patients diagnosed with COPD on Saturday and Sunday, August 13, 14, 2016. On Friday August 12, 2016, there will be two pre-conference workshops on Spirometry and COPD Navigator as well as a Patient and Caregiver Focus Group to uncover insights into their perspectives of care.
