NorthStar Home customers can now purchase the Honeywell C2 camera and manage Lyric Controller and additional connected home products all from Apple HomeKit.

NorthStar Home now offers Honeywell’s new Lyric C2 Wi-Fi Security Camera to customers. The C2 camera’s leading features include easy DIY set up, 1080p HD wide-angle views, 32 feet of night vision, motion detection and baby cry detection. The camera has versatile mounting options including wall or ceiling mounting or tabletop placement. Through the NorthStar Connect app, customers can view and download the last 24 hours of video clips. The C2 camera can be included as part of the customer’s NorthStar security system and 24/7 monitoring.

This camera release followed the announcement of the Lyric Controller integration with Apple HomeKit. “The Lyric Controller is the first security system in the industry that supports the Works With Apple HomeKit™ family of products,” stated Honeywell. These changes were released in a software update that is available to all current customers.

NorthStar customers with an iOS device can use HomeKit to control door locks, lights, smart thermostats, and many other devices. Smart Scenes can also be controlled, so you can select the “Goodnight” scene when you want all lights to turn off, lock all doors, and turns the temperature turned down. Customers can use Siri as an assistant in controlling connected home devices.
