The Albany IT Symposium Is A Single Day IT Conference Giving Local IT Leaders A Chance To Network, Knowledge-Share, And Give Back To Their Community

Albany Chapter of the Society for Information Management, host of the Albany IT Symposium, will be giving a portion of the proceeds back to the local Albany community

The Albany IT Symposium is returning to the Albany Marriott in Albany, New York on April 25th, 2018. This is a one-day, executive-level event designed for CIOs, CISOs, and their management teams. There will be an expected 200 IT Executives, representing over 50 companies in attendance.

This year's event will feature three keynote sessions and a multi-track set of 12 breakout sessions including our highly anticipated executive panels: Virtual Reality Panel, Cyber Security Panel, Smart Cities Panel, Diversity in the Workplace Panel and IT Governance Panel.

The opening keynote speaker is Harry Campbell, Author, Get-Real Leadership. Harry takes the tenants of servant leadership and infuses them with his own business philosophies developed while working at Fortune 500 companies including Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Sprint, as well as smaller private companies. His presentation results in an empowering and fresh approach to managing people and business that he calls, "Get-Real Leadership".

Afternoon keynote speaker is Kurt Kemmerer, COO - CoreTech Solutions Digital Technology at GE Digital. His presentation, "Managing Through Adversity" will focus on hearing what matters and the different considerations that are needed in situations (both globally and locally). And how to survive in making hard decisions and leading teams through challenging events or when significant change is required.

Robert Samson, CIO, New York State Office of IT Services will deliver the closing keynote presentation titled "Innovation That Matters... For All New Yorkers". Prior to his appointment of CIO in April, Robert Samson has had a rewarding 36-year career with IBM until August 2009 when he retired. While at IBM, he served in various leadership positions where he led teams focused on helping governments transform using innovative approaches and technologies. Mr. Samson received a lifetime achievement award from Government VAR Magazine and has been named 1 of the 100 most influential people in the technology industry.
