Tombstone carver helps "make some memory"

Tombstone carver Alexei Krylov, of Lindenhurst, is the subject of a beautiful video profile.

“A sculptor with a studio in Lindenhurst on Long Island, Krylov often works from the back room at Wellwood Memorials, a family owned grave marker and memorial shop in North Lindenhurst,” Wall Street Journal videographer Jennifer Weiss writes in an intro to the short video.

“With this kind of company, all our jobs are like sad stories,” Krylov says in the profile. The people who hire him to carve gravestones "lose people from the family and friends. But I think it’s important for us to help people make some memory.”
