Barbara Kessler has been named treasurer on the board of directors of the Long Island Coaching Alliance, which is the local chapter of the International Coach Federation. LICA provides support and resources to individuals and organizations in areas that include careers, life and working transitions, workplace issues, and relationships. Kessler is a Roslyn Heights resident and owner of Life in Focus, which provides services in the area of interview preparation, career transition, development and team-building. Ann Salpeter Schockett has been elected president of theNassau County Federation of Republican Women. The Woodmere resident is director of print publications for the Nassau County Police Department in Mineola.

Chris Basile
has been promoted to art director at KZS Advertising in Smithtown. The Holtsville resident was promoted from production artist.

Kenneth Hein has been named director of marketing, North America, for the Manhattan-based creative agency gyro. The West Islip resident was most recently director of communications at the advertising agency JWT in Manhattan.

FINANCE
Elizabeth Martone
of Glen Cove has joined Manhasset-based The Montauk Group as managing director of business development. The Montauk Group is a bank relationship management specialist that helps businesses manage their banking relationships to optimize fees, rates and account structuring. Martone comes from Herald National Bank in Melville, where she managed the sales team for the corporate products department.

Rocco Totino has joined Grassi & Co., a Jericho-based accounting firm, as partner. This is the result of a merger of Grassi & Co. and Pustorino, Puglisi & Co. of Manhattan, where Totino served as partner. He lives in Rye and will work from Grassi's Manhattan office.

Stephen Molfetta has joined Riverhead-based Suffolk County National Bank as vice president and commercial lender. Most recently he was associated with the Long Island Development Corp. in Westbury, where he partnered with development companies and municipalities to promote economic growth in local communities. Molfetta lives in Garden City Park.

Barbara L. Cerrone
has been promoted to chief business development officer at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek. She was promoted from chief marketing officer. The Dix Hills resident has been with the Uniondale law firm since 2003.

NONPROFIT
Janet Alvarez
has been promoted to health center director at United Cerebral Palsy of Suffolk in Hauppauge. The Sayville resident served as associate director for six years before her promotion.
