BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS
Donna-Marie Korth, a partner in the litigation practice group at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman in East Meadow, was appointed to the Nassau County Bar Association's judiciary committee, which screens candidates running for judicial office in Nassau County. She is a Rockville Centre resident.

Paul Hyl, senior associate at the Melville law firm of Genser Dubow Genser & Cona, has been appointed to the board of directors at Dowling College Center for Intergenerational Policy and Practice. He is a Holtsville resident.

Dr. Lyn D. Weiss, chair of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, has been appointed to chair the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation's essential benefits task force. The group will make recommendations to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on what should be included as essential rehabilitation and habilitation benefits in President Barack Obama's health care reform plan. Dr. Weiss lives in Jericho.

FINANCE
Richard F. Hay has joined TD Bank in Manhattan as a senior loan officer-vice president in commercial real estate. The Garden City resident previously headed the multifamily warehouse lending division at GMAC.

Citizens Bank announced two mortgage loan officer appointments. Both individuals, Jerry Farina and Evan DeNardo, will work from the Garden City office. Farina of Lake Grove held a similar position at Astoria Federal Savings Bank and DeNardo of Long Beach held a similar position at HSBC Bank.

Bonnie Habyan has been promoted to executive vice president, marketing, from senior vice president, marketing, at Arbor Commercial Mortgage in Uniondale. She is a Nesconset resident.

HEALTH CARE

Huntington Station resident Joseph Loiacono has joined Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip as a vice president of administration. He was vice president of program development for Catholic Health Services, of which Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center is a member.

Sue Penque has been named chief nursing officer and senior vice president of patient care services at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside. The East Meadow resident held a similar position at North Memorial Health Care System in Minnesota.

LAW
Kevin P. Mulry has joined Farrell Fritz in Uniondale as a commercial litigation partner. The Rockville Centre resident was an assistant United States attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. attorney's office for the Eastern District of New York.

STAFFING
Kimberly Alarcon has joined Alcott HR Group, a Farmingdale human resource services outsourcing company, as marketing/sales coordinator. The Queens Village resident was marketing coordinator at Margolin Winer & Evens, a Garden City accounting firm.
