Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has taken to Twitter to respond to the ungallant comments his former fiancee Crystal Harris made about their love life on Howard Stern's satellite-radio show.

"Crystal lied about our relationship on Howard Stern but I don't know why. Maybe a new boyfriend?" Hefner, 85, tweeted in a post that has since been deleted, People magazine reports. Still up as of yesterday afternoon, however, was a follow-up post: "Crystal convinced me that she adored me. That was the first lie."

Clarifying his own June 20 tweet about having "missed a bullet" when Harris called off their June 18 wedding days before, Hefner wrote, "I didn't mean I didn't love her. I meant I realized she really didn't love me."

He went on to tell a Twitter follower, "You don't have to say you're sorry for being pro-Crystal. I'm pro-Crystal too," then added pointedly, "I feel sorry for Crystal. She seems lost. . . . I'm happy to be in a better place with new girlfriends Anna Sophia Berglund & Shera Bechard," the November 2010 and January 2011 Playboy Playmates, respectively.

Harris, the December 2009 Playmate, who's 25, did not respond Wednesday to Hefner's tweets.
