Kathy Griffin, currently in Europe on the final leg of a comedy world tour, says she is encountering a blacklist in America following a satirical photo in May in which she posed with a decapitated-head effigy of President Donald Trump.

“I just want you guys to know I’m fully in the middle of a blacklist — like, I am in the middle of a Hollywood blacklist,” Griffin said in a YouTube video before a show in Vienna.

“I’m not going to lie — it’s going to be hard when I go home and I don’t have one show in my future,” she said later in the video. In response to those who have suggested the 57-year-old comic start over from the bottom, “No, I don’t want to do free shows, I don’t want to do someone’s 50-person club,” she said. “I did that for decades. I think I should be able to get my life back.”

She was invited on former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly’s podcast to discuss the blacklist, she wrote on social media Monday, posting images of the correspondence.

“I’m not that desperate, Billy McRapey,” Griffin responded on Twitter and Instagram, referring to O’Reilly’s firing from Fox News in April after multiple allegations of sexual harassment. Griffin added that her 97-year-old mother called O’Reilly “an embarrassment to all [fellow] Irish Catholics.”

Griffin also said in the video that she realizes the picture offended many people, but that all of this backlash “has never fallen on any woman in the history of America like it has on me.”

“I’m just trying to bring laughter to people — that’s all I want to do,” said the comedian, whose tour of Australia, Asia and Europe concludes Nov. 29 in Reykjavik, Iceland.
