Jessica Simpson started the celeb parade at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week yesterday morning, serving as guest judge at the "Project Runway" finale show. She dazzled in a dove gray chiffon and sequin cocktail dress by Michael Kors (it's never too early for sequins with this crowd). Heidi Klum, by the way, was decked out in an orange, three-piece pantsuit (amazing).
Meanwhile, Jordin Sparks, "American Idol" winner and fledgling Broadway star (currently fighting a hip injury that's interrupted some "In the Heights" performances) turned up in the front row, wearing a form-fitting little black dress with leather inserts and zippered back. "It's my first fashion show ever," she admitted.
Over at Christian Siriano's show was proud mama Joye Siriano, who offered up some good parenting advice on having successful children. "To all those parents who don't want to drive their kids around, just get in the car and do it. It all pays off in the end," she said preshow. Joye Siriano has been enjoying the spoils of her son's business. "He sends me on cruises these days," she said, laughing.
