Taking Back Sunday announces tour
Taking Back Sunday’s new/old lineup will hit the road in June for a short tour before heading into the studio to record its next album in Los Angeles with Eric Valentine.
The tour is set to launch June 22 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, N.J., with a show at The Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza following on June 23. The tour will also stop in Philadelphia (June 24), Boston (June 25), Chicago (June 27) and Los Angeles (June 29).
It will mark the first tour where guitarist/singer John Nolan and bassist Shaun Cooper will join singer Adam Lazzara, guitarist Ed Reyes and drummer Mark O’Connell since 2003.
“We are so excited to be able to play songs in front of people with this line up of the band,” Lazzara said in a statement. “So we have to play a few shows before we go off to make the new record. All of these venues have special meanings for us, and we’ve had so much support in these cities.”
VIP packages, which include a meet-and-greet and a Q&A with the band, go on sale at 5 p.m. tomorrow. For more info, check out takingbacksunday.com. Regular tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
“I think we're going to be backstage waiting to go on and just jumping up and down,” Nolan said in a statement. “It’s going to be amazing to share the excitement that we've been feeling for these past few weeks with an audience.”
