THE WALKING DEAD Series It's adult character drama and "hard core stuff" at the same time, taking zombie action from the fringe to the mainstream. A deputy (Andrew Lincoln) awakens from a coma to find his wife and son missing - and his Georgia landscape overrun by "walkers" seeking flesh to consume. But this graphic novel series turns the tale into, as one extra's comment observes, "the 'Twilight Zone' of our generation." Great stuff from director Frank Darabont ("The Shawshank Redemption"), movie producer Gale Anne Hurd and "Dead" creator Robert Kirkman.
