In a world where there is life on other planets, nine alien infants are destined to save the universe. Evil has arrived on Earth, and it’s up to them to save the human race and themselves. That is the plotline for the new film “I Am Number Four,” starring Alex Pettyfer and Dianna Agron.

This action-packed film has a hint of romance and comedy, with a sci-fi feel. We found ourselves laughing, screaming, and even crying during this intense film. John and Sarah (Alex and Dianna) have great chemistry throughout the movie.

The fast-paced action scenes kept the audience engaged; however, we felt the camera couldn’t always keep up. Sometimes everything went so quickly it was difficult to comprehend everything that was going on. Regardless, the action kept us on the edge of our seats throughout the film.

This mind-blowing movie receives 41/2 (out of 5) smiles, and has the appropriate rating of PG-13.

We met Alex at Planet Hollywood last Monday afternoon in Manhattan and Dianna last Sunday at her hotel in Manhattan. We talked to them about the film.

What was your favorite scene in the movie?

Dianna said, “There’s a few of them. I love the scene in the darkroom. I think that’s a really beautiful scene between them . And I loved at the fair when they’re going on the hayride. It’s like the first time they’ve actually let loose together and just really are relaxed.

Alex told us his favorite scene was when he was in the garage with Sam . He said, “I tell him I’m an alien and he kind of figures that he’s not this weird outside guy believing in nothing. He actually gets to believe in something again.”

More about the film

Alex also told us that they used five dogs in the film. (We loved the dogs!)

We wanted to know if there was going to be a sequel. (We hope so! We really liked it!) Dianna said, “The second book has just been finished, and it all depends if the movie does well. If the movie does well I think they said they would be excited to do that.”
