Chef Lisa Basini — also known as The Baking Coach — visited us at Eastport Elementary School. We were all excited to meet her. She is the owner of The Baking Coach in Huntington. She enjoys teaching kids and adults how to bake there.

She told us that her favorite thing to bake is cheesecake. She also told us that she likes to make fondue. She said the hardest thing for her to make is souffle. Besides baking, she decorates cakes, and all of her decorations are edible.

Chef Lisa has been on TV so you might recognize her. She has been on News 12 and Ch. 4 for a baking show. She will travel all over the metropolitan area to bake with you, and we are so pleased that she came to our class to help us make no-bake cookie dough.

She brought all the ingredients, and she also brought us hats, gloves and aprons to keep our clothes clean. It was a lot of fun as she took us through the step-by-step process to make our delicious cookie dough.

You want more? Sure you do! Visit chef Lisa’s website, thebakingcoach.com. She can give you private lessons, come to your school, help you have a baking party and more. We think it is worth it!

Here is the recipe for no-bake cookie dough.
