We got to meet Madisyn Shipman, who stars as Kenzie Bell on the Nickelodeon show, “Game Shakers,” in Manhattan recently. We were so excited when our teacher picked us to go meet and interview her. As we were traveling in the subway to get there, we felt super excited! We entered the “We Work” building, and, before we knew it, we were heading up the elevator to meet her. When we met her, we instantly felt comfortable. She was very polite and had a unique sense of style. She introduced us to her puppy, Willow. Madisyn said her dog travels with her wherever she goes. She also told us about all the other animals she has. As we interviewed, she was very honest when answering the questions. She told us many stories of her life in and out of the entertainment business. She has already had a starring role on Broadway in the show “Enron.”

We asked her about what other Nickelodeon shows she likes and she told us: “I really love ‘School of Rock’ because it is all musical and I love music. I play guitar, ukulele, bass, keyboard and I sing.”

We also found out that she is just a regular kid when she is not working because she loves to go to skate parks with her three younger brothers or have her best friends over for sleepovers. We laughed when she called herself nerdy.

Sadly, the interview time was up but not before we took some pictures with her and selfies too! It was a lot of fun talking with her. We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to meet a TV star.
