One of the best things about being a parent is teaching your children new things and coaching them through life. One of the hardest parts is watching them fall, picking them up and encouraging them to dust themselves off and try again.

And that's exactly what a Proctor & Gamble Olympics-inspired ad ahead of this year's Winter Games in Sochi encompasses. The new ad, part of the company's new "Thank you, Mom" campaign, is sure to pull at your heartstrings with its "Pick Them Back Up" message, so before you watch this video, grab a box of tissues.

Captions displayed throughout the ad begin with "Thank you, Mom ..." as moms are depicted guiding their children through life's milestones from their first steps to riding a bike, mastering a sport and other great achievements. The message continues: "... for teaching us that falling only makes us stronger. For giving us the encouragement to try again."

You'll watch moms picking up their babies and kids when they fall, icing their bruised knees after a hockey game, and being there for every disappointment and every shining moment.

Although the ad is targeting moms (and dads) of Olympians, the core message will appeal to anyone who has raised kids.
