Tetsing five board games

We tested a few new board games that you might enjoy:
Kevin played BuggaLoop Game (Ravensburger). He wrote: “I thought this game was great and so much fun. My dad, my brother and I played the game. You can play up to four players. The directions were very long, but I was able to set it up by myself. The object of the game is to beat the Hexbug. You roll the dice to see where you land, hopefully on a safe spot so the Hexbug can’t reach you. BuggaLoop says it is for ages 6 and up but I think kids around 4 years old would also love to play this exciting game.”

Monopoly Here and Now (Hasbro) was tested by Joseph. He wrote: “In this game of Monopoly, players race around the board visiting different cities and collecting passport chips or stamps. The first player to fill his or her passport wins. This game is also much quicker than the original Monopoly game. It takes about an hour to the play the whole game. I think this game is a lot of fun.”

Ubongo Board Game (Thames & Kosmos) was tested by Christopher. He wrote: “In this game you solve puzzles. You roll a die, and that’s how you know which puzzle to solve. You use a few of the 12 pieces that you start the game with to solve the puzzles on your puzzle board. The fastest player to solve the puzzles wins gems. The player with the most gems wins. I really like puzzle games, problem solving, and strategy games. The game is fast-paced and competitive.”

Cartagena (Ravensburger) was tested by Sean. He wrote: “It is a board game with seven changeable pieces of the board. One rescue boat, 25 pirates in different colors. The colors of the pirates are blue, yellow, black, pink and gray. There are 90 picture cards. The object of the game is to get to the rescue boat. The cards help you get to the rescue boat. The pirates are for your players. The instructions are easy. It was a fun game to play. Only drawback is it’s easy to lose pieces.”

Crab Stack (Blue Orange Games) was tested by Padraic and he would not recommend it. He wrote: “The instructions were not very clear and even after figuring it out, my family and I found it boring.”
