Easter egg hunts

March 14: Eggstravaganza!

Participants will be given a bag to collect eggs from businesses in the downtown area (a map will be available). Attendees can visit the petting zoo and take a photo with the Easter bunnies located at the gazebo and the Lindenhurst Fire Department's main house on South Wellwood Avenue.

March 20: Easter workshop at Children's Museum of the East End

The egg painting workshop explores the tradition of Pysanky eggs and other classic styles of egg painting from Eastern Europe. Paint and take home your eggs.

Parades and events 

April 4: Crazy Hat Parade in Bellport

161 South Country Rd.

Join the Easter Crazy Hat Parade, meet at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Bellport Fire Department and, at noon, the marching steps off on South Country Road. The Bellport Fire Department and its antique fire truck leads the way, traveling to the Village Gazebo off Bell Street. Take photos with the bunny at the gazebo where jelly beans and eggs with prizes will be given out. First, second and third prizes for best hats.
