Long Island events canceled amid coronavirus concerns

Several Long Island performing arts venues and other event organizers have announced cancellations:
March 17
- Funny Ladies of Comedy at the Bryant Library in Roslyn has been canceled.
- Tuesday’s Early Stage Dementia Program at Barry and Florence Friedberg JCC, 15 Neil Ct. in Oceanside has been canceled and will resume on April 20.
March 18
- Chant for Mother Earth has been canceled at the Charles B Wang Center, Stony Brook University.
- Tech 1-on-1 for Adults at the Bryant Library in Roslyn has been canceled..
- "Smokey Joe's Café" (March 18-22) at Nassau Community College Little Theater, 1 Education Dr., Garden City has been postponed.
- Howard Jones Acoustic Trio Tour at the Paramount, 370 New York Ave., Huntington has been canceled.
March 19
- Jurassic World Live Tour (through March 22) at NYCB Live's Nassau Coliseum, Hempstead Tpk. in Uniondale has been canceled.
March 20
- SeniorNet Spring Open House has been postponed at Family Service League, 790 Park Ave., Huntington.
- The LI Natural History Conference (March 20-21) at the Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Berkner Hall, Lewis Road, Upton has been canceled.
- Mike DelGuidice and Big Shot at the Paramount, 370 New York Ave., Huntington has been canceled.
March 21
- Russian National Ballet: Giselle at the Staller Center for the Arts at Stony Brook has been canceled.
- Family Barn Dance hosted by the Long Island Traditional Music Association at the Westbury Friends School, 550 Post Ave., Westbury has been canceled.
- Gardeners Film Festival at John Drew Theater, Guild Hall, 158 Main St., East Hampton has been canceled.
- The Paramount Party Series Presents: Back to the Eighties Show with Jessie's Girl at the Paramount, 370 New York Ave., Huntington has been reschedule to July 23.
- Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers Spring Open House (March 21-22) at 2953 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown has been canceled.
- Book Launch: American Goddess at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, 76 Main St. has been canceled.
March 22
- Glen Cove St. Patrick's Day Parade has been canceled.
- Met Opera: Live in HD: Der Fliegende Hollander (The Flying Dutchman) at the Staller Center for the Arts at Stony Brook University has been canceled.
- Science Walking Tour at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Grace Auditorium, One BungTown Road has been canceled.
- Greek Heritage Day at Ward Melville Heritage Organization (WMHO) Educational and Cultural Center, Stony Brook Village Center, Main Street in Stony Brook has been rescheduled to May 17.
- Folkie Fest: Strong Women of Song at the Moriches Community Center, 313 Frowein Rd. in Center Moriches has been postponed and will be rescheduled for the fall.
- Indigo Girls at the Paramount, 370 New York Ave., Huntington has been postponed.
March 23
- Blind Visions: Carlo Levi's Disegni Della Cecità, art exhibit and reception has been canceled at the Charles B Wang Center, Stony Brook University.
- Reading Between the Waves: Why They Marched at The Whaling Museum and Education Center of Cold Spring Harbor, 301 Main St. has been canceled.

- Michael Bublé’s concert at NYCB Live's Nassau Coliseum has been postponed, a rescheduled date is to be announced.
- Spicing It Up! How the Chile Pepper Went from Obscurity to Ubiquity in China has been canceled at the Charles B Wang Center, Stony Brook University.
- Views From the Bench: Our Legal System at Jericho Library, 1 Merry Lane has been canceled.
