An updating list of games and sporting events either canceled or otherwise altered by the outbreak of the coronavirus:

MLB

- The rest of spring training has been canceled and Opening Day will be pushed back at least two weeks, MLB announced Thursday.

NHL

- The NHL on Thursday paused its season, though it still is hoping to resume play and the playoffs “as soon as it is appropriate and prudent.”

NBA

- The NBA on Wednesday announced that the league’s schedule would be suspended after a game in Oklahoma City against the Utah Jazz was postponed because a player, reportedly Rudy Gobert, tested positive for the coronavirus.

COLLEGES

- The NCAA cancelled all its winter and spring championships, including the men's and women's basketball tournaments.

- Duke, Kansas and Arizona State suspended all athletic competition until further notice.

- Conference USA, the Mountain West Conference suspended all spring sports indefinitely, and the Northeast-10 Conference suspended all spring sports until April 13.

- The Big East men's basketball tournament was canceled at halftime of the St. John's-Creighton game Thursday.

- These conferences also canceled their men's basketball tournament on Thursday: ACC, American, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, Pac-12, Atlantic 10, WAC, MAC, Sun Belt, America East.

-  Stony Brook women’s basketball team’s America East championship game against Maine was canceled Thursday.

- Major college football programs such as USC, Notre Dame and Penn State have suspended spring practices.

- Conference USA has suspended all spring sports until further notice.

- Patriot League has canceled all spring season practices and competitions.

- Ivy League presidents voted unanimously to cancel all spring practices and events for the remainder of the academic year.

- New England Small College Athletic Conference presidents voted unanimously that conference athletic events, including championships, will be canceled for the spring season.

- The College Basketball Invitational has decided to cancel this year’s tournament.

FOOTBALL

- The Giants and Jets have pulled their scouts and coaches off the road from various pro days and other events and are cancelling many of the workouts that had been scheduled prior to the NFL draft.

- NFL has cancelled its annual owners meetings scheduled for March 29-April 1 in Palm Beach, Florida.

- XFL has suspended its season.

SOCCER

- On Thursday, MLS suspended its season for the next 30 days.

- The U.S. men's and women's national soccer teams have canceled all events, including upcoming matches, through April 30.

- National Women's Soccer League has canceled its preseason match schedule.

- UEFA has postponed the Champions League round-of-16 second leg games scheduled for next Tuesday.

- CONCACAF has suspended play of its Champions League, 2020 men's Olympic qualifiers, the first round of 2021 Gold Cup qualifiers (scheduled for this month) and the 2020 Caribbean Club Shield.

- The English FA announced the suspension of play in the Premier League, Women's Super League and EFL until April 3.

Two Europa League matches scheduled to be played in Spain and Italy on Thursday have been postponed.

- The French League Cup final between Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon has been postponed.

- Turkey is postponing sports events scheduled for March and April, but soccer league games will be played with fans in attendance.

- Denmark’s top soccer leagues are shutting down for at least two weeks

- Ireland's FA has suspended all soccer until April 4.

TENNIS

- The ATP suspended the men’s professional tennis tour for six weeks.

- The Miami Open tennis tournament that was scheduled to start later this month has been canceled.

- The Fed Cup finals in Hungary have been postponed.

GOLF

- The Masters tournament has been postponed.

- The Indian Open tournament has been postponed.

- The Czech Masters tournament was canceled.

- The Players Championship golf tournament will not have spectators for the final three days at the TPC Sawgrass.

LACROSSE

- National Lacrosse League has suspended its season until further notice.

MOTOR RACING

- NASCAR has postponed its next two races, at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.

- The Argentina Grand Prix event has been postponed.

- Formula One has canceled the Bahrain and Vietnam races.

RUNNING

- The Boston Marathon has been postponed to Sept. 14.

- The Vienna Marathon was canceled.

HIGH SCHOOLS

- New Balance Nationals indoor track and field meet scheduled for Saturday at the Armory has been canceled.

- The Nebraska state boys basketball tournament will be played as scheduled Thursday through Saturday, but the only fans allowed into the venues will be participants’ immediate families. Ohio announced that only participants’ families and media will be allowed to attend winter sports postseason tournaments.

- Connecticut has canceled the remainder of its winter sports seasons as well as state tournaments.

- Pennsylvania's state boys and girls basketball tournaments have been disrupted because several schools have declined to host games, forcing them to be rescheduled.

OTHER SPORTS AROUND THE WORLD

- International Fencing Federation has postponed all international events for the next five weeks.

- South Korea’s professional baseball league says it will postpone the start of its season to mid-April.

- The Euroleague says it is suspending all games indefinitely.

- The International Basketball Federation says it is suspending all competitions indefinitely from Friday.

- The Swiss hockey league has ended the season in the top two divisions before the playoffs.

- The world figure skating championships have been canceled.

- The season-ending men’s World Cup ski races were canceled Thursday.

- The women’s Alpine skiing World Cup was canceled Wednesday.

- The International Gymnastics Federation is postponing two World Cup events scheduled to begin next week.
