Italian restaurant Salumeria Pomodoro closes in Roslyn

Less than six months after its Roslyn debut, Salumeria Pomodoro has closed, confirmed Fabio Machado, founder of Reststar Hospitality Group.
The Huntington location of Salumeria Pomodoro that debuted in March will remain open.
The pondside Roslyn space has been part of the Reststar Group restaurants since 2003, when it opened as Bistro Citron. The group closed Bistro Citron to update the concept, unveiling Salumeria Pomodoro in December. Reviewed in February, it received 1½ stars from Newsday.
Machado said the partners have not yet decided whether to hold on to the space for a future restaurant.
In addition to Salumeria Pomodoro in Huntington, Reststar also operates Bistro Cassis and Bistro Citron in Manhattan, Brasserie Cassis in Plainview, La P’tite Framboise in Port Washington, Cafe Buenos Aires in Huntington and Cafe Mendoza in Commack.
