Juice Generation to open at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City

What could you have in common with Kendall Jenner, David Beckham and Salma Hayek? You, too, can become a regular at Juice Generation, whose first Long Island outpost opens on Thursday, Dec. 1, in the Dining District at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City.
Serving acai bowls, vegan plates, baked goods, smoothies and juices, the 1,000-square-foot shop is also the first one outside New York City, where celebrities flock. Eric Helms opened the first Juice Generation connected to a gym in Manhattan in 1999. Today, he oversees 19 and counting, all with identical menus with some ingredients sourced from local farms.
Smoothies from peanut butter split to strawberry range from $7 to $11, while juices range from $6 to $12. “Farmacy” juices are a specialty, from the Cold Warrior with echinacea, orange, ginger and green tea to The Cure, with garlic, lemon and turmeric among a half-dozen ingredients.
For lunch, vegan eats abound, from jackfruit tacos to kale-avocado salad, starting at $11. Fruit-focused acai bowls are a newer addition also starting at $11.
Juice Generation hours coincide with mall hours during the holidays, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
