District 13: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Wheeler Avenue School, James A. Dever School, Howell Road School and Willow Road School.

District 24: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at South Corona Firehouse, William L. Buck School, Brooklyn Avenue School and Robert W. Carbonaro School.

District 30: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Clear Stream Avenue School, Shaw Avenue School and Forest Road School.

THE BUDGET

The district proposes a $111,211,025 budget for the 2016-2017 school year, a 1.38 percent increase over the current $109,702,140. The tax levy would decrease by 4.42 percent, from $83,773,277 to $80,072,185.

This decrease is equal to the district’s tax-cap limit of -4.42 percent, so a simple majority vote will be required to approve the budget. School officials did not provide the dollar amount or percentage increase of school taxes paid by the average single-family home under the proposed budget due to the lack of assessment information from the county.

The budget includes average raises of 1.7 percent for teachers and maintains existing staffing and program levels.

A proposition asks voters to authorize spending $2,050,000 from a capital-reserve fund for various projects, including additional computer labs at all schools, repair and renovation of the steam piping system at North and South high schools, the creation of a press box at North High School, and the addition of air conditioning at Memorial Junior High School.
