Felony drug charge for Woodmere woman
A Woodmere woman was ordered jailed on $50,000 bond or $25,000 cash bail at her arraignment Wednesday morning on charges of drug possession and sale, police said.
Nicole Goldenberg, 38, of 20 Clubside Dr., was arrested Tuesday by Nassau Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives on charges of criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance. Goldenberg sold oxycodone near Conklin Avenue and Broadway in Woodmere on May 13, police said.
She was arraigned Wednesday before Judge Helen Voutsinas of First District Court in Hempstead on a charge of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance -- 30 milligrams of oxycodone.
Her attorney, Joseph Giordano of Oceanside, said his client was not guilty and questioned why she was not arrested until Tuesday if the sale was May 13 at 8:05 p.m., as court papers say.
"They had no pill count. They had no pictures. They had nothing," Giordano said.
The charge is based on a detective's "observations" and other evidence, according to court records.
Giordano said Goldenberg would make bail.
Goldenberg was arrested on another drug possession charge on April 29: criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, police said. It was unclear whether she had entered a plea on that charge.
