Police: Man, 33, fatally shot in Roosevelt
Nassau County homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left a 33-year-old man dead in Roosevelt Wednesday.
Police identified the victim as Gerber Hernandez of Roosevelt. Hernandez was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where he died at 11:50 p.m.
The shooting on Ellison Avenue was reported via a ShotSpotter alert at 6:48 p.m., police said.
Police said no arrests have been made and details are still emerging. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will remain confidential.
