'White Collar' dedicates show to grip, LIer John Bolz
Who is John Bolz?
If you're curious why staff from the television show "White Collar" dedicated Tuesday night's episode to Bolz, you're not alone.
Bolz, 39, of Mineola, was killed in a one-car crash in May. He was a grip on the USA Network show and was extremely popular with colleagues, according to several celebrity and television web sources.
Bolz's name ranked No. 1 in popular searches at one point Wednesday morning, according to Google Trends.
Bolz was driving on Cold Spring Road in Laurel Hollow on May 10 when his 2005 Chevrolet hit a pole, Nassau County police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police reports.
