A Manhattan woman has been charged with forgery and other crimes after she tried to cash a check in another woman's name at a bank in Greenvale, Nassau County police said.

Kathleen S. Morrison, 54, of 507 W. 42nd St., was arrested at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday after she presented a forged driver's license at a Wells Fargo Bank branch on Northern Boulevard and tried to withdraw money from another woman's account, police said.

Morrison had a forged California driver's license and a forged Capital One credit card that she had used to withdrawn $2,500 from an account at a Wells Fargo Bank branch in Garden City earlier in the day, police said.

She was awaiting arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead on charges of forgery, possession of forged instruments, identify theft and grand larceny, police said.
