Kidsday: Class is proud winner of sneaker award

In our school every month we go down to morning program in the gym. Every kid in the school goes, and we celebrate milestones such as birthdays and other great events such new baby siblings.

After that, we talk about kids who wrote books in school and the student of the month, The Gold and Sneaker Awards are given out. The awards are old sneakers that are spray painted gold and silver with sparkles on them.

Wendy Sclafani, our gym teacher, will give them out to classes who behave and use the most teamwork in each grade. I am proud to say that my class - Michele Anszelowicz's class - has won three times in a row.
