The remnants of Hurricane Isaias will mean rain, thunderstorms and breezy conditions through early Monday across Long Island before skies start to clear mid-morning with a high later about 70 degrees, according to the latest forecast.
"There could be a couple of leftover showers early in the morning," National Weather Service meteorologist Brian Ciemnecki told Newsday. "However, we should see those showers push south of Long Island during the mid- to late morning."
As the remnants of Isaias move away from the area, Ciemnecki said, sunny skies will follow.

The storm made landfall Friday on the Florida Panhandle. It caused widespread damage before moving north and inland.
The Long Island Fall Festival at Heckscher Park in Huntington, which began Friday and continued Saturday, was forced by Sunday's rain to reschedule its meatball eating contest to Monday.
Between a quarter and half of an inch of rain is possible for Long Island before skies begin to clear, according to the weather service.
Ciemnecki said Tuesday will continue the trend of sunny and dry weather, but with a chance of showers at night.
Wednesday and Thursday will also be mostly clear, with temperatures in the 60s and 70s, according to the weather service.
