A West Hempstead man has been arrested after police said they found his fingerprint on items that were moved during a burglary in Garden City.

Nassau police said they responded to Coach Realtors, at 116 7th St., on Oct. 31 after a burglary was reported. A Crime Scene detective discovered the latent fingerprint, which police said was later determined to belong to Francisco J. Palacios, 26, of 185 Fairlawn Ave.

Detectives found and arrested the defendant without incident on Wednesday at noon in Mineola, police said.

Palacios is charged with third-degree burglary and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
