A Hicksville man was arrested early Wednesday, charged in what police said was his role in a knife attack on a man walking home from the Hicksville Long Island Rail Road station early Monday morning.

Jonny Turcios, 23, of 100 E. Marie St., was arrested at 12:20 a.m. and charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon, Nassau County police said. Two other suspects have not yet been arrested.

Police said Turcios and two other men attacked the victim, 34, as he walked from the train station at 1:18 a.m. on the Fourth of July, slashing his left arm and hand. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said. The severity of his injuries was not known.

Police did not say whether the men knew each other or if the attack was unprovoked.

Turcios is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
