Man injured after vehicle hits him in Hicksville, Nassau police say
A man attempting to cross the street near South Broadway and Rave Street in Hicksville sustained a head injury after he was struck by a vehicle Saturday night, Nassau County police reported.
Authorities responded to the scene at 7 p.m. after the 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck, traveling south, hit the man, police said.
The Hicksville Fire Department took the unidentified victim, who suffered head trauma and internal injuries, to a hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition, officials said.
Detectives ask anyone who may be able to identify the victim to call 516-573-6253.
He is described as between 20 and 25 years old, with a thin build, wearing blue jeans and white sneakers.
