Nassau County police are investigating a Monday morning bank robbery in East Rockaway.

A man entered the Capital One Bank at 115 Main St. at 9:45 a.m., approached a teller, made a verbal demand and passed a note demanding money, said Robbery Squad Detectives in a news release.

The teller complied, giving him an undetermined amount of money, police said. The man fled on foot on Baisley Avenue south toward Davis Street.

Six employees and three customers were present at the time of the robbery, police said. No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as a white male, between 35 and 40 years old, between about 5 feet, 11 inches and 6 feet tall, and with a thin build, police said. The man was wearing a blue Syracuse lacrosse hooded sweatshirt.
