Arson Squad investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire Thursday night that caused the partial collapse of a building in Garden City Park, as well as a brief suspension of service on the Long Island Rail Road.

The fire occurred on Atlantic Avenue at 8 p.m., Nassau County police said. There were no reported injuries.

The fire was at a one-story structure housing JBH Environmental Restoration and other businesses, Nassau police and fire officials said Thursday.

More than 100 volunteer firefighters, with 20 pieces of apparatus, responded and fought the blaze, led by the Garden City Park Fire Department.

The LIRR service was temporarily suspended in the area, police said, because of the fire's proximity to the train tracks. Service was restored by late Thursday.

Police said the cause of the blaze remains undetermined and the investigation is continuing.
