A two-vehicle accident closed Old Country Road late Friday morning, Aug. 1, 2014, between Carman Avenue and the Wantagh State Parkway, Nassau County police said. A two-vehicle accident late Friday morning briefly closed Old Country Road between Carman Avenue and the Wantagh State Parkway, Nassau County police said.

The crash happened on the New Cassel-Salisbury border.

Police said the crash occurred at 10:44 a.m. and that Emergency Service Unit personnel and firefighters were on the scene. Police said the severity of any injuries was not immediately clear.

The road was reopened at about 1 p.m., police said.
