A Lakeview teenager was home alone in his bedroom when he was confronted by two men who assaulted and robbed him, police said Friday.

The 19-year-old male was assaulted by one of the men with a handgun, Nassau police said. He did not require immediate medical attention.

Two men broke into his home on Owasco Road through a rear basement window, at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, police said, and went upstairs where they confronted the victim.

After assaulting him and demanding cash, they fled with assorted items from the house, police said.

Detectives asked that anyone with information contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
