The teenager who apparently drowned in a swimming pool during a Glen Cove house party on Friday has been identified as Shana Marie Davy of Brooklyn.

Davy, 18, was pulled out of the deep end of the pool at the Valley Road home by guests at the party, authorities said Saturday. The guests tried CPR, to no avail.

Police continued resuscitation efforts but also could not revive the teen, who died at the scene shortly before 2 a.m.

Authorities are waiting on autopsy results to determine the cause of death, Glen Cove police Det. Karl Van Allen said.

A man who identified himself as the owner of the home said he was away at a different party when the death occurred.
