A teenage boy was struck by a car in Woodmere Monday morning, police said.

Initial reports are the victim suffered what Nassau County police called "non-life-threatening" injuries. But he was reportedly airlifted from the scene.

The accident occurred at 8:34 a.m., police said, near the intersection of Peninsula Boulevard and Woodmere Boulevard. Additional details were not immediately available.
