Two westbound lanes of Sunrise Highway near the Wantagh Parkway will be closed between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Thursday night, potentially causing delays, according to the state Department of Transportation.

A single lane will stay open on westbound NY Route 27/Sunrise Highway during those hours while the transportation department performs a "sign structure safety procedure," according to a news release. The work could be canceled, postponed or prolonged in the event of bad weather, the department said.
