Police: Westbound Sunrise Highway reopens in Wantagh after crash

Westbound Sunrise Highway in Wantagh reopened early Friday after being closed for more than 21/2 hours because a motor vehicle accident pushed a utility pole into the roadway, Nassau County police said.
The road was closed from Oakland Avenue to Wantagh Avenue from about 3:15 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., police said.
Also closed during the same period was Wantagh Avenue, between Railroad Avenue and Sunrise Highway.
A police spokesman early Friday said at least one person was injured in the accident but had no other details.
