Woman crossing road struck, killed in Hicksville, police say

A woman was struck and killed in Hicksville Wednesday night, Nassau police said.

She was crossing Jerusalem Avenue by Winding Road about 10 p.m. when she was hit by a vehicle, police said.

The driver stayed at the scene and no criminality appears to be involved, police said.

The woman’s identity and other details were not immediately available Thursday morning, police said.
