Homicide detectives investigating the crash said the woman, 67, was crossing Newbridge Road just north of Old Country Road at about 10:48 p.m. when she was hit by a gray Volkswagen traveling southbound.

The driver of the vehicle, a woman, 44, remained at the scene, police said.
