Pedestrian Nicole Estefania Guizhpe Guartazaca, of Glen Cove, killed in crash, police said
A 24-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by a car while crossing the street in Glen Cove Monday night, Nassau County police said.
Around 9:03 p.m., Nicole Estefania Guizhpe Guartazaca, of Glen Cove, was crossing Forest Avenue near Kirkwood Drive when she was struck by an eastbound 2014 BMW.
Guizhpe Guartazaca was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The 23-year-old driver of the BMW remained at the scene.
No further information was available Monday.
