After a week in the hospital and an unscheduled surgery, Food Network star Sandra Lee woke up Thursday in her Westchester County home, which she shares with Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, her spokeswoman said.
Lee, 49, will have 24-hour in-home nursing care and will use a portable intravenous drip to stave off infection, which is what forced her back into the hospital on Aug. 4, her spokeswoman said. The spokeswoman said the infection was related to Lee's double mastectomy in May after early signs of breast cancer were detected.
Cuomo escorted Lee as she left the hospital late Wednesday, the spokeswoman said.
