A bicyclist suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Montauk Highway in North Bellport Thursday evening, police said.

The identity of the bicyclist was not released. Suffolk County police said only that the victim was male.

The driver, identified as a female, remained at the scene and has not been charged, police said.

Police said the accident occurred at 6:23 p.m. near the intersection of Donegan Avenue.

The victim was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue.
