A car crashed into a utility pole and then hit a mail truck in the Village of the Branch Sunday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

The crash on East Main Street near Hemlock Drive in the Smithtown village was reported at 1:19 p.m., police said.

Further details on the crash, including whether there were any injuries, were not immediately available, police said.
