Police have identified the 25-year-old Brentwood woman who was killed in a single-car car crash Friday on the Southern State Parkway.

Lizette Land was the lone occupant in her Acura when the car veered off the westbound lanes and onto the right shoulder about 11:30 p.m., just west of the Sagtikos Parkway in Bay Shore, police said Monday.

It was not clear how fast she was going, but police said it was a "high rate of speed" because her car hit several trees, then overturned.

Land was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, and the crash is still being investigated.
