Police are still searching for the driver of a dark-colored sport utility vehicle that struck a 14-year-old girl walking along a road in Medford Monday night -- then fled the scene.

The girl suffered a broken leg in the hit-and-run.

The accident occurred at 9:10 p.m. on eastbound County Road 16, Horseblock Road, near the intersection with Ohio Avenue. Then vehicle then fled eastbound on Horseblock.

Police said the SUV -- or, possibly, pickup truck -- suffered front-end damage.

Police are asking for anyone with information regarding the accident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.

A reward of up to $5,000 is offered "for information that leads to an arrest," police said in a news release.
