The driver of a tractor-trailer that overturned Tuesday morning in Commack, dumping debris and closing a portion of Commack Road, has been ticketed for faulty brakes and hauling too heavy a load, Suffolk County police said.

The driver, whose name is not being released, was driving south on Commack Road at about 6:30 a.m. when his rig tipped over on its side as he was making a left turn onto Crooked Hill Road, police said.

There were no injuries.

Police said the truck was carrying mostly construction debris and was headed to an intermodal facility, where the trash was to be shipped out.
