A Mastic man has been arrested and charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder in a subway station shooting two weeks ago in midtown Manhattan, not far from Penn Station, the NYPD said Monday.

The suspect, Francisco Alsina, 23, of 63 Locust Dr., also was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Police did not provide details of Alsina's arrest.

The shooting, which occurred during the morning rush hour Nov. 9, began with a dispute inside a McDonald's restaurant and ended in the nearby subway station, leaving Angel Quinones, 43, dead and two other men -- William Lamboy, 45, and Eddie Torres, 48 -- wounded, police said. The three victims were longtime patients at a nearby methadone clinic, according to police.

Another Long Island man, Vincent Arcona, 27, of 2600 Race Ave., Medford, was arrested three days after the shooting after he went to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, police said.

Police said Monday he has been charged with tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Arraignment details were not immediately available and it was not clear if police were seeking additional suspects.

The NYPD had identified Arcona as a person of interest soon after the shooting and released a photo of him from a prior bail-jumping arrest.

Police said the shooting, which took place on West 35th Street and Eighth Avenue, was reported in a 911 call at 6:14 a.m. on Nov. 9.

Quinones was shot in the neck, police said.

Police said Lamboy was shot in the neck and abdomen, while Torres was shot in the leg. Both were taken to Bellevue Hospital. The conditions of those two victims were not known Monday.
